Nitrates won't Budge!

Try adding a wad of cheato to the mix. I hide plenty of it behind my rock-work. I have a skimmerless sumpless 40G and it helps keep my trates undetectable.

where do you buy that chaeto (cheeto lol) stuff? safeway?

I hear the Tang police coming.....

Small amounts of sugar ever other day, if every other thing you,ve tried dont work, try the sugar till you find out the source of your problem, there are SO many factors for high nitrates. Sounds like your in a hurry, take your time, you will figure it out. Is anything in danger?

How much lighting does the cheto need?

I recently went thru 4 25% WC's every other day to lower my high nitrates. The last one seemed like they were higher then before the WC. Took sample water to the LFS and discovered my test kit is bad. Was told if the testing fluids got hot/warm they might not work right. I had them on the TV. Just want to say that if you are doing WC's and it doesn't seem to be working I would try a diffrent test kit.

All creatures look great!! I feed twice a week and only enough so none gets uneaten. I do plenty of water changes.
