Hi guys
So, what’s the difference between say 1 and 10ppm nitrates?
I mean, for keeping corals is 1 too low or doesn’t it make any difference if it’s 10? It’s still available isn’t it?

In most cases, probably no discernable difference. But keep in mind nitrates can negatively impact calcification. Also, corals have symbiotic diazotrophs that can convert free nitrogen, N2, to nitrates for corals to use. And given thier preferences, corals will pick urea (organic nitrogen) and ammonia over nitrates.
