no. 28 blocks and viper lights...

So someone who has no idea about nano tanks suggested that I use no. 28 blocks instead of dosing in my 12 gal jbj...I have never used these blocks before but from my understanding they dissolve only enough that your tank needs so it is never over dosed, and you just put them in the filter...sounds like a dream? Anyone use these in their tank?
Also, has anyone else ordered a viper light from nano customs...? I ordered one in APRIL!!! I keep calling and they keep saying something about JBJ redoing the clips for the lights so they have no idea when it will be in....Anyone have any word on this? Im sooo tired of WAITING!!! I have lots of plans for my tank but I can't do any of it until I get that light and get my hood off... >_<

There was a thread in the chemistry forum about those once put a thread in there I am sure randy can point you in the right direction if I remember correctly they aren't as good as it sounds.

I have and continue to use No. 28 blocks on my 12 JBJ. There ok for the money. Not much change, but again ok. NOW I did see some good results on a new setup, not a fully mature tank. So I think there ok(good) for a new setup, but not a muture tank. I'm starting a new 24 AquaPod setup, and I will use them for awhile and watch for the results on it.
Just my opinion.

The mounting screws on the viper have a problem with melting but the new, improved lamps have been coming thru for months!. You best read this and other forums as many have posted about the 150 viper with enough negative comments to lead me to buy something else.
