No coralline Alage growing

Hello all well the tank has been running for 5 months now and i am having good alage growth in the fuge but no coralline growth in the main tank or on the glass. What could be the issue

What are your parameters? Almost always coralline will grow when all of your parameters are in check.

I have a butt ton of cheato growning and my mangro is also growing. Just seams weird

Do you have any coralline at all in your tank? Maybe it needs seeding? Also, not that it has anything to do with it, but I'd guess most people keep their sg a little higher.

That and crank your SG up a little over the next few weeks to say 1.024 should help.

And there may be absolutely nothing wrong. 5 months is a relatively new tank. IME, it's about the time to start seeing coralline, but not in large amounts. Patience is likely all that's needed. Do you clean your glass regularly? Even just a magfloat will prevent coralline growth if you regularly clean your glass well.

no glass once every 2-3 weeks I know its still new but i have had systems that had coralline after 2-3 months.

You need to bring up your salinity level and your calcium as well if you want any coralline.....

That ca is fine for coraline growth. What's the Mg? I think coraline uses mg. DMBillies is in a similar boat, though his params including mg are all great, but still no coraline after quite a long time. Strange...

The way I started my bowfront to get some coralline is by scraping coralline off the rocks from my existing tank. I just spread it around with the powerhead......
