No die off with Ick-Sheild medication (Chloroquine Phosphate)

So I got Ick Sheild powder made by NLS last week and dosed 4 spoons in my 93G with 10G sump on Monday night. 5 Days later, I still see a patch of thick hair algae on the rock and a live red worm wriggling on the sand (it was hiding under my magnet) this morning. The worm is gone back in the rocks I assume. I have the lights off since monday and not much sunlight in the room. only ambient light. I read everywhere that there will be a major die off. I don't have much algae to begin with as the tank is only a month old. Did I dose too low or can I add some more just to be sure? None of my fish are showing symptoms of ich, like flashing etc now. They are all active, healthy and eating. Before the medication I had the yellow tang and a couple of chromis flashing a lot, that is gone.

The active ingredients for ICK-Sheild are

I,4-Pentanediamine, N4-(7-chloro-4-quinolinyl)-NI,NI-diethyl

Not sure if it is same as Chloroquine Phosphate or something else.

I never tried to kill algee with CP; I have used to to prevent algae. However, I put some SPS and CP together and found the SPS taking roughly a week to start dieing, then they rapidly went downhill. I assume it is preventing acquisition of new energy via photosynthesis in algae and thus SPS, so the cells are able to live until energy stores are gone.

I would also guess the cellulose of algae may remain for some time after death, until bacteria can break it down.

I have used 10-20 mg/l, not sure what 4 spoons/10 gallons comes out to.

This was not to kill algae btw. I also noticed a dead worm curled on the substrate, about the size of a large grape. I also noticed a snail dead stuck between rocks that I didn't not notice when I removed all the snails before starting treatment. poor thing. So yeah there is die off!
