No foam 9005 skimmer

I have a new 55g tank set up with a 15g tall sump.
On friday night I added LS/LR from Tampa Bay Saltwater and on saturday I turned on my brand new tunze 9005 (see above.)
It did not produce any foam/bubbles at all and I know it can take up to 3 days for the skimmer to start working. It has been 3 days now and there is absolutely no foaming action going on.
The motor is working. Sliding cover is open all the way. Water is gently coming out of the outlet pipe.

I have opened the unit to see if everything is connected and it seems to be
but since this is my first tunze I guess i cannot be sure.

Any Ideas what is not right?
Help!

The air hose is not connected to the venturi, pull the pump out and plug the air hose into the venturi nozzle.

Ahhh Ha!
I knew it was user error!
I did not understand correctly where the air hose connected to the venturi nozzle.
I did not see the hole for it on the side. Nor did I have the pump in place.
just 2 minutes after I put it back in the sump I have foam coming up to the collection cup
