No Honor.

This is no different from a brick and mortar store's after xmas sale. If they are out, they are out. Don't understand whats the gripe about.

Its like lining up at BB or something for the 3 am door buster sale. If you are number 1 million and 1 customer at store location 190232243, you aren't going to get that 60 inch flat panel HD ultra bright connection blue tooth enable black leather silk trimming that they only have 5 in stock.

If they sent your order without notifying the lights were out of stock, then they should pay for the return shipment since it is their fault on that part.

Other than that, its not a big thing...

Just calm down people and let it go. As mentioned, it is a mistake on the posting and whatnot.
 
What people are failing to understand is that the truth is not what is being pictured here by this company.. If they did indeed run out of the product, too bad, so sad. Oh well, it happens. It was a good deal and it's understandable that they would run out in a short amount of time. What's frustrating is this... A lot of us placed orders on Saturday for a product that was only advertised the next day, Sunday, for a higher price. When the mistake was caught, instead of being upfront and honest, a generic email was sent out stating that the item was out of stock/discontinued.. which a lot of us have a hard time believing--considering it is the item at the top of the sales ad and we placed the orders before the item was even advertised.. ? Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? I understand no company should have to lose money during the holidays.. but a least a little truth?
 
I know of one person who got some lights shipped. This person owns a store in another state from us who placed his order after mine, got a shipment statement today for his order. Looks like they went thru and chose the winners from the losers, or just their favorites. I understand people make mistakes but just too many things do not add up with this deal, they got alot of website visits and other purchases off this "honest mistake". This has happened to me once before, and the vendor called me up, (I had to take no action) and stated what had happened and asked one question, "what can we do to make it right?" all was made right very quickly. All that has happened with this one is basically "too bad so sad". In the pervable words of Lightsliver "fool me once"

This is just silly. The fact that you took screen shots to me means you knew the deal was more than likely too good to be true. It appears to be a price mistake nothing more and nothing less. This happens all the time on slickdeals and such... Did you try to get Bing cash back as well?
 
That's not feedback, that's an attack. I know it's a fine line RC moderators walk in moderating these forums but it's statements like that which cause sponsors to close their forums. I like to be able to ask questions here that aren't top priority and MD can answer at their leisure.

The part of this whole deal that makes me mad is the rest of my order was shipped out and I was never notified that the lights were not being shipped. So now I'm paying $9 shipping for 2 Maxi-Jets. If they were up front and let customers know whats going on I don't think anyone would have a problem but this is kind of underhanded. This is the second issue in the last 6 months I've had. At one point I thought they were known for good service?????
 
well i got the same form letter as everyone else was not happy and to have to wait 5 days for my refund is what they told me. no more they would have to really have a sale for me to go back now
 
Is MD not going to respond now. It sucks we pay for the item then you decide that you will not honor it, but decide to ship the rest of our order anyway. What makes me mad about this is you still charged me the amount to ship the lights. I had some PH calibration fluid and got charged the 9.99 shipping. If I just put the fluid in my cart and get shipping prices I am no where near that amount. Thanks for ripping me off. I will never order from this place again.

What is so funny about his whole thing is the people that have all this stuff to say that DIDNT EVEN ORDER THE LIGHTS...OR EVEN FUNNIER..HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH MARINE DEPOT. I guess its just me but I was always taught that, If you ain't got a dog in this fight,stay the hell out of it.
 
Man, it says on the screen shot that availability is subject to change prior to shipping. Quit crying about it. They sold out of a discontinued item that they wanted to get rid of - happens all the time. My friend and I got 2 of them (out of the 4 we originally ordered) but you don't see us complaining.
 
Please dont bash, the facts stand where they are, MD has decided not to do anything and that is their choice, dont have to like it, just the way it is. Time to move on, REMEMBER, but move on.
