Actually i would have to disagree with calling it a capricornis. True caps do not get those ridges you see or the bumps. http://sdmas.com/corals/268.php

I would have to agree with you on this. After I took the pic and posted it I was looking at the coral and noticed that ridges were very different from the orange/red cap that I have.

I just thought is was pretty cool having two different colored polyps i've never seen that on any plating montipora.

What you have is waayyy better then most caps i see. And most people seem to categorize all plating Montis under caps. But there are many montis that look like caps but are a very different species.
