No leveling mat

I recently set up a jbj 45 rimless tank, and once it finished cycling and I added some fish, I noticed I forgot to put a leveling mat on the stand. Does anyone know if I should just leave it be or spend the time and effort to tear the whole tank down.

What type of material are you sitting it on? I have a freshwater tank sitting on my kitchen counter top without mat. Over time it developed fractures on the edge corners. Since you are still early on in the process, I would say just just do a quick tear down to put the mat on.

This is a new concept to me.... is this a mat under the tank b/t tank and stand? I have a wood stand and my all-in-one purchase did not come with one. Should I look to put some padding or rubber between the wood and the tank?

The surface on which the aquarium rests shall be completely level. The surface shall not have any physical dips or debris that may cause pressure points on the glass. The aquarium must be placed on a closed foam mat that is at least 0.25" thick, and it must cover the entire surface of the bottom of the aquarium.
