No ro/di ?

HI,
Just moved to a new place and the water pressure at the tap is about 30 psi. The RO/DI I was going to buy says the operating range for PSI is between 45 and 75 psi.

At 30 psi will it not filter at all, or does it just mean that my output will be less than the unit rating ( 50 GPD)

Thanks

The filters don't do their job, you want it between those ranges. Get yourself a booster pump. They are in the $40 range if I'm correct. Plug in with the same tubing your rodi uses.

As stated you get a booster pump or increase your water pressure..many times you can simply find the water pressure regulator and turn a bolt and voila..better showers,etc...
You really dont want to run a ro/di setup at only 30psi..it will be very inefficient

If it's municipal water in a house call the water Dept. See if they can increase the pressure to the house. There is a valve.

The booster pump route is the best option. It's a plug and play, no hassle, no worries. Good luck with the new filter system, I'm sure you will enjoy the convenience of your own DI water.
