I have a mag 36 and have it plumbed with one return to the DT with inch and a half abs. It seems quite noisey. Replaced the impeller and helped a bit but still noisey. Hooked it up to a 1" hose in a tub and it doesnt seem as noisey. What would be the reasoning of that. Also if i open the ball valve all the way it seems louder. Should i buy some 1" abs and re plumb? Is it the plastic that is makin the noise? What should i do. This is the third time i redid the plumbing, went from .5 to .75 to .1.5"

The pvc vibrates, the pump will vibrate the entire length of that line. Hose will not vibrate, I would recommend going 6" hose into pvc, will help noise some. But you are using a noisy Mag pump, your not going to get rid of it all. No noise, go with the Quiet One Pumps.
