Noisy Mag Drive 500gph

I recently started back up my 100 gallon tank and used all my old equipment until I forgot I had alot of issues with my mag drive 500. It ran fine for years but everytime the power would go out it would most of the time not restart. If you pumped it it would start up and run fine. So I bought a new impeller and front cover and replaced them and seemed to help even though sometime now if you unplug it there is a chance it won't restart. Not as bad but still a problem. Biggest concern after the new pump and cover is now the pump is very noisy? I've laid the pump on rubber mat and still very noisy. The pump is being run fully submerged and always has been. Any ideas or time for a new pump?

I own a few of their pumps and they have all be relegated to water change duty due to the noises they make like what you are describing.

I would get a new pump from a different company. Mthere are much better pumps out there

I was looking into eheim as I know they have a great reliability and performance but are very costly. Is there any other pump that is a good quality pump that won't break the bank? The eheim is approx 3 times the price of the mag drive.

Only other option was downgrading to the eheim 1250 which is around $100 but is only 320gph vs the 500gph from the mag drive. Not sure if that is going to be enough flow.
