Ok so thats not as funny as I thought.

Membeship coordinator collects the membership data to be sent to the secretary and answers questions for new and potential members about joining the club and what were about.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIRMAN The Membership Chairman will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date name and address list of all Society members in good standing. The Chairman will work to create ideas to promote the Society and attract new members, and can developed a committee of members to help implement actions.

It's all in the bylaws

Linda C has told me in person that she would rather be a worker bee and would preferr not to be a council member. Hopefully she will post this in this thread.

Council members will make sure that the nominated member meets all the requirments. I can say this both ken and steve have been involved minimum of a year.

As for the newly retitled position....it's getting voted on now....have you cast your vote for the change? I don't wanna write anything yet if we aren't gonna change the language.

The New Position which replaced the webmaster is....
EVENTS AND PUBLIC RELATONS CHAIRMAN
The Events Coordinator shall manage and coordinate all club events and meetings under the control of the Board of Directors as a whole. Develop relationships with other marine aquarium societies, while also managing communications to the local community.

Once again the only 2 people currently running are Jaze36 & Ken668. If anyine has an interest in becoming a council members ....simply state it in this thread.

I'm interested in the EVENTS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIRPERSON seat, but I'm concerned it might entail more time than I have to offer. I think I'd be good at it, but I'd hate to let people down if my schedule gets tight (as it sometimes does).

Also, I'm probably just on the cusp of six months of membership (???).

So, basically, I'm throwing my hat in the race, but I might not yet qualify.

I beleive you would be able to have fellow members help where needed. And if that's the case I would be willing to help, and that goes for all council members and current candidates.

Linda has offered to help, and I am willing to help out where ever needed. Not interested in a formal position- after 4 years of DC and doing the programming for MACNA, I need a break for a while OH but I do know of a lot of potential speakers when we feel up for a more formal event.
