Non operational Hydor Koralia 3

Jason,
I have a Koralia 3 that I purchased from P.A on 2/28/07, this is one of the originals that were first introduced. It about a month ago just gave out and would not operate. I have taken it completely apart and cleaned it by hand, nothing. Then into the vinegar bath it went for three days, it had a small amount of mineral build up initialy on the impeller shaft. Still nothing. I noticed when I attempted to run it after its bath, that there was a faint "burn" odor coming from below the decal on the top of the motor. Can anything be done with this pump? I have sent an email to Hydor, but I don't know if they received it. Thanks for the assistance.

Jason,
It looks like Hydor did receive my email this afternoon. I have been instructed to send it in to them for replacement. Thank you for your assistance any how.

Hi,

Glad they got you taken care of. We have only had a few problems with there pumps, out of several sold. So they seem pretty decent overall.

Jason,
Just to give you an update, Frank Moore of Hydor USA had instructed me to send my old one in. Within three days of him receiving my broke one I had a brand new one sitting on my door step. You can't beat customer service like that!

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the update. That is very good to hear. I know in the past they have been really good on service, so glad they are still taking care of warranty issues so well.
