Noob plumbing question

Hey everyone, I'm building a 20 long reef and hard plumbing for the first time. I am going for about 100-150 gph thru the sump. I ordered a return kit that uses 1/2 inch plumbing and an overflow kit that uses a 1 inch bulkhead. I didn't realize until I received my order that I ordered 3/4 inch PVC and fittings for the drain. Can I use a 1 inch to 3/4 inch reducer? I'm slightly worried about the drain only being 3/4 inch, but not sure if the extra 1/4 inch difference would really help on a smaller tank with less sump turnover. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah you should be fine doing that, having a 3/4 reduction though will make it a lot easier for the drain to be clogged by a rogue snail or something so I would make certain there is no way for them to get in with a strainer or something over the drain
