nook support...

There are plenty of choices for mobile interfaces (Aquanotes and TankManager to name two) but the Nook (and the Kindle for that matter) are awful web browsers and don't fully support all the browser extensions required by the Apex. The problem isn't with the Apex, it's with those book readers.

OK... I'm looking for built-in support for awful web browsers.

You can root the Nook Color, essentially turning it into a general purpose Android tablet; and then you should be able to run HeneryH's Apex app which is available in the Marketplace. Google "nook color XDA"

Don't ask me for help with it though ;) I have an original nook, and love it, but it will be given to my son as soon as the iPad Gen2 is released :)

Neptune should be able to easily provide some dummied-down web pages, served directly from the Apex.

A few HTML pages friendlier to smaller screens, with touch interfaces. All I really want from a device like the nook is to quickly check my outlet status, temp, and ph. And a graph of temp and ph for the last 7 days.

Then people wouldn't have to buy more software, type their credentials into 3rd party web solutions, or hack their devices.

Or... Neptune could provide a web proxy to its customers, similar to TankManager.

As far as rooting the nook, I'll probably experiment with writing a native nook app first. But thanks for the suggestion.

Just for S&G, I tried accessing my Apex from my nook. I didn't even get the login prompt... it immediately went to a 401 Unauthorized error.

I tried it simply out of curiosity.... I've probably only used the nook browser 2-3 times in the 8 months I've had it. My iPhone does everything I need it to do as it pertains to monitoring/managing my Apex.
