nooo! Not micro bubbles!

Hello!

I just started my new 26g bowfront with a 10g sump.

The sump has a mag 5, hob whisper filter 30 ( its currently off) a heater, and a to- sump flow with a filter sock.

Why are there micro bubbles on the glass? I am mixing salt in the Display tank atm, no livestock in there yet.

There is a leak on one of the tubes from the mag 5, but it goes directly back into the sump. About a drop every 10 seconds.

any ideas?

is the mag drive fully sumurged into water? mags have a intake leak in them i was experiencing the same thing all i had to simply do is take the drive in put in directly to my sump and also when you mix the salt in the water (in the tank) the salt will take some to mix in right, ohh n patch up that leak if not done yet lol

Thanks.

I was getting worried I'd have to do the whole pipe system again..

How do I patch the leaks?

everytime i've setup a tank and mixed the salt in tank i get a micro bubbles allover the glass, take a rag or whatever is lint free and wipe it off it shouldn't return

WOW!!!....a mag 5 on your 26g tank....How much head is there? Do you have it T-off back to the sump or have a valve for controlling flow?? That just seems like a lot of a pump for that size tank...

Thanks for the replies :)

Smalls, believe it or not, the mag5 isn't sending much flow up. It does go threw, but its not as powerful (example: koralia 2 is much more stronger in the tank)

That was my first thought. With a small sump like that, too much flow can make the microbubbles hard to control. I had similar problems with a mag3 in my 10g sump, had to divert some of the flow back to the return area to slow down the flow through the system. No more microbubbles.

Something to think about if it doesn't clear up once everything breaks in.
