Normal behavior for a new mantis (peacock)

I just got mine today. I have a tank all cycled and ready to go (29G). I kind of assumed he would go in the burrow I made for him, but no dice so far. Also, he is walking around with his smasher hanging down. Is this normal? He wasn't doing it when I first got him.

Just want to make sure my new buddy is doing okay.

mine walks around with them out all the time and is fine.

Give him some time. He's getting acquainted with his new home. I recommend turning the lights down for a day or two. Don't try to feed for a few days, either. Just "chill".
