I recently picked up a frag of a Northstar Prostrata(pink with blue tips) It is pretty brown at the moment, but, I was wondering if anyone had any all grown up and colored up so I can see what I can expect.
No, thats the problem. When I google it, the only name that comes up that I recognize is Kip(former TOTM), and rarefrags.com also has a pink with blue-tip prostrata.
looked thru pics... for some dumb reason... i dont have any good shots of my "northstar" (which was the name of an old store, i think.... Northstar Corals)
maybe i can get a shot of the current colony sometime
under good conditions it is a very light bubble gum pink with sky blue tips (for me at least)
Originally posted by ReefRockerLive I too have never heard of it. Maybe someone just threw a name on it to get more value.
Kip if you could get a pic of the Northstar that would be cool. I was out buying frags on a road trip 6 month ago and two different reefkeepers sold me a "ORA Scripps Millie".
One was the Scripps but the other didn't look the same. The other one sounds alot like the Northstar. The fact that it was tank raised and very colorful led me to guess that it probably had a name that got lost along the way.
