Hi,

My name is Andreas and this is the thread about my reef tank. I live in Oslo, Norway (yeah it's cold here:rolleyes:). We are not that fortunate as the most of you. Here the livestock and corals are very limited in comparison to USA. We can only dream about corals from ORA and Tyree! But I'll try to put up a good sps system with corals that are more rare in Norway (and maybe more usual where you live :)).

This is my system:

(old picture, will update when the system is finished)

Display tank:
150cm x 60cm x 60cm (59x23x23 in inches) 540 litres (143 US gallons)
Sump:
75cm x 40cm x 40cm (29x16x16 in inches) 120 litres (32 US Gallons)

Water Circulation
Aqua Medic Oceanrunner PH2500 returnpump
Tunze Nanostream 6045 4500 l/t x 3
Tunze Turbelle stream 6101 w/single controller 4000 - 12 000 l/t

Water Filtration
Deltec TC 1655 external skimmer
Active coal
SMR1 Nextreef Biopellets reactor with Tunze Silence 1073.008

Lighting
ATI SunPower 6x80w T5
DIY led moonlight

Other eq
Grotech III NG with Balling+
Tunze Osmolator

Here's some pictures of the aquarium. I painted it blue on the backside. A picture of the new skimmer too :)

Have to have good air ventilation in the bench. (not proud of my skill with electricity:rolleyes:)

One fan is blowing air in on the short-side and another fan is blowing air out on the other short-side.

Some of the corals (I have mostly frags:spin2:)

Montipora unknown.

Montipora, maybe a Danae.

Another unknown Monti.

Purple Monti cap.

Lost this Tort to AEFW:headwallblue:

Some of the fish I have in the tank.

Xanthichtys Auromarginatus Male.

Zebrasoma Flavescens.

Cryptocentrus Cinctus.

This is what the tank looks like when I'm finished with the borders around the aquarium and the bench.

Pink Fungia sp.

Ordered this from Ebay. Ok quality :)

Montipora Australiensis. I believe some call this "The Hulk"?

This is a small Odonus Niger trigger.

Pseudanthias Squamipinnis Female.

Pseudanthias Squamipinnis Male.

Montipora Danae.

More pictures :)

Centropyge Loriculus.

Montipora Digitata German Blue.

My QT tank with AEFW infected Acroporas. Quarantined the Acros for about 8 weeks. Luckily I didn't have that many when I found the flatworms :)

The sump and equipment inside the bench.

This is a short-tempered little Naso Elegans.

Xanthichtys Auromarginatus Female.

My favorite, Pygoplites Diacanthus Red Sea/Indian Ocean.

Thanks :)

Bought this halfdead Superman Montipora.

This is after one week.

After one month.

Here is a frag I took of the Monti. I Think it is a Montipora Mollis.

Some of the Zoas in the tank:

Nice tank and in my opinion frags is definitely the way to go. Keep us posted with your progress. Are you done with the AEFW?

Thank you :)

The AEFW is gone! I dipped the Acros 4 times in 8 weeks. Changed the water in the QT when I dipped them and introduced them to new water. Only found flatworms on the two first dips. Dipped them before introducing them back to the display tank as well. Haven't found any eggs or fw since. I used TM CoralCure pro btw.
