Nosy 6060

Hi

I just got a Tunze 6060, and I put it in a bucket of fresh water to test it. I was surprised by the noise. This pump is not a quiet as I expected. I get a pretty noticeable hum from the 6060. I'm going with these because I though it would be quieter than a closed circuit system, now I'm not so sure.

I don't have the tank set up to try it with salt water. I made sure the impeller was seated, and tried to make use there was no air trapped in the system.

The noise will likely be about half after 2 weeks of use. They are no different from a new engine and the parts have to seat and wear in.

I'll put it in and let it run. I just wanted to make sure this was normal.
