I am Not in despreate need of help... but I do have a question I got ich... qt all fish together all fish died except 5 4 chromis and one large 6 inch diamond spotted goby. Neither have showed signs of ich or any kind. they are currently in the qt with a low salenity of 1.010 and that is because it needs some top off...

so my question is! Is it possiable that a fish could be healthy enough to never get ich even when surronded with it?

Yes i know the main tank still has a week or two before it is ich free, but i would hate to put these fish in then and then have more problems.. and the goby is dispretly missing his sand! (sorry cant spell)

I think it possible but not worth the risk. Keep the fish in hypo for the full time period.

BTW: I can't spell either but use "IE Spell". It is a free internet explorer plug-in that gives you a spell checker on any explorer text window with just a simple right click. www.iespell.com Very useful.

I'm sure it's possible to never see the ich on some fish's skin or scales but the issue is that the ich affects the gills more than anything. That being said, I am sure all fish gills are pretty much exactly the same and also probably as vulnerable as the next fish's gills. QT for the full time period and keep the water at 1.009
