Not looking good

This rbta has been in the tank for about a month and just tonight when the lights turned off it started looking like this. Is this normal or is it bad?

What you are seeing there is normal, mine consumes itself sometimes at night when all the lights are out. As long as it opens back up when the lights come on its fine.
