ok so my dream tank of 120"x42"x30" is a little far fetched for where Im at in my life right now. so will be finished setting up my newest tank next week (57 rimless w/ rimless frag tank) I am planning my new large sysyem(will be a long process but my goal is to have it up and running by the end of the year) we will be purchasing a home when our lease is up in june. so far I am between 2 sizes 96"x30"x24" or 96"x30"x30" what would you go with?

I have mostly already decided on the equipment. for a skimmer I will be using the new xp-5000 cone skimmer, for lights I am going to use 4x 250w mh in lumen brights. for supplementation I will be using randy's diy two part with the bubble magus doser(or maybe profilux it depends on how I like the magus on my current system) I will be using a 125 for the sump and would like to tie in a 4'x4'x8" and a 3'x3'x8" frag tanks(the frag tanks will be running on their own by the end of march) so their system will be disassembled and tied into the "BIG BOY"

I will come up with some drawings for the tank builder in the coming week to get some quotes.

sounds very interesting, cant wait to see the progress, And as far as tank depth , i just purchased a 30" deep tank, i would highly recomend it, i absolutely love the different aquascaping ideas you have with it. good luck

Mine is 96x30x30 on a tall stand...reaching stuff is hard, but I have a little step stool! It's a peninsula so that makes it easier because I can reach in from both sides.

All that said, I'd much rather have the tank be 96x36x24 but I got a deal on my tank so I pulled the trigger. Both tanks are 375 gallons, you just gain a ton of space in depth - as in front to back.
