Got a nano cube for cheap and pluged the light in yesterday and had to put out a fire in the ballast and one of the fans. Cane these be fixed of is it time to reorder?

The fan was deffenetly on fire the ballast just sparked a lot. guess that is what happens when something is not grounded!!!

1st off, where did you get it? a LFS, online, another reefer? If it was online, you should be able to ship it back for a new one, and the same wiht the lfs...if its another reefer...lol I donno what you should do maybe trade back....

I donno if it can be fixed, sounds kinda messed up with the fire an all...and probably would cost more then gettin a new one...

If nothing else, look into the price for a new hood/canopy or an upgrade. There's an upgrade kit on Ebay to change your light to a 150 HQI for 50 bucks.
