Not sure if I over reacted regarding ich

Hi,
I was looking at the residents in my tanks and noticed that my Yellow Tang had some white dots in it's fins and my Coral Beauty had some on it's body and fins. I immediately took them both out of my 120 gal and quarantined them in a 20 gal. I have a standard bulb on the QT (no sand) and now I cannot see the spots on either fish. My 120 has Aquatic Life 48" LED's and it was very easy to see under that light. I recognize that if it is Ich it will be int he 120 gal as well.

Did I over react and suspect ich for particulates from the sand (there is a fair amount kicked up from my Yellow Spotted Goby)? Nothing is appearing on my 2 Percula's, Copperbanded Butterfly or Spotted Sweetlips. I have increased the temp in both tanks and looking at the 120 3-4 times a day to see if there is anything else developing.. so far nothing. Both fish in the QT seem to be fine and eating. It has only been 48 hours since I QT'ed them.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hard to say with information supplied, but remember that visible symptoms of ich will come and go.
