Not sure what this is...

Bought used live rock with a few corals on it. This one doesn't look like a frag. Looks directly attached to the rock as if it were a hitchiker. Anyway, it's the size of a pea. Any ideas?

Noticed this morning that the "dead" thing to the left has reddish purpleish hairs on it. So it's alive. Any ideas what it is?
