nothing short of a miracle!

I bought a pair of picasso clowns from saltwaterfish.com and when they arrived this morning, they were doa. Instructions clearly state that I should acclimate the fish before reporting them doa so i proceeded with a drip acclimation. We have had abnormally cold weather here in florida lately and I noticed that the water was chilly so I added a cup or so of water from my system and a small heater. The fish were still dead! No movement floating upside down, so I reported the fish doa. I quickly got an email back requesting some photos. I reached in the styrofoam container to position the fish for a better shot and they both jumped and started swimming around like absolutely nothing was ever wrong. Do I have magical healing powers? They are both in a small system waiting to go into my display and are acting completely normal but I think they may be immortal now?! One of them found its way into the overflow, and made it's way through the hard plumbing to the sump, where i rescued it, put it back in the tank, and it continues to act like nothing happened! All of this in one day of the life of a clownfish is pretty remarkable and nothing short of a miracle!

Hopefully they continue to do well? The one that took the trip into the sump isn't looking so hot but the lights are off and he might just be sleeping? If they make it through the night I'll confirm their immortality with a couple pics.

Thought for sure the one was a goner last night but woke up and found both fish swimming around like there wasnt any trauma what so ever! <a href="http://s518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/?action=view&current=iphone192.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/iphone192.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/?action=view&current=iphone195.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/iphone195.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/?action=view&current=iphone193.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/rodeoklown/iphone193.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Please excuse the crappy iphone photos?

Haha, awesome story. Always happy to see things work out for the better. I've had fish arrive DOA before, it's very frustrating to be looking forward to getting your new animals only to have them dead in the bag.

Must have felt odd telling the online retailer that you couldn't post pics of the DOA cuz the clowns magically healed back to life :P

yep, semi picassos from saltwaterfish.com they were $50 a piece but I get free shipping in florida so I thought is was worth it. And yes it was a little humbling to have to tell them on the phone that they came back to life, but they appreciated my integrity claiming that some people would persue a refund due to the inconvenience. As for being zombies, thanks now I'll have that stuck in my head anytime I need to reach in the tank!
