np bio pellets

I am currently using np bio pellets in a phosban 550 reactor. I now they will make my system a low nutrient system which is good for SPS. I have decided to go with a LPS dominant tank whick needs a high nutrient system in order for them to do will. My question is can I just stop using them or will it have negative effects of my corals and system? I've been told that when you start using them you can't stop using them. Is this true?? Does anybody have any experience with using them???

You can reduce the amount slowly. I would not just stop using them but would remove half of the quantity every week or two. This sill allow the nutrient level in the system to gradually accumulate. I recently removed half of my quantity with no ill effects.
