NPS tanks and skimmers

Hello! I was wondering if you can have an NPS tank run without a skimmer. I am not asking for things like dendronepthea or anything, but normal things like a yellow finger gorgonian, some sponges, and a small area in the tank dedicated to dendrophyllia and sun corals. Please, help me as I already have a sun coral and am completely new to this entire azoox thing. I am basically asking this because I have such an awesome skimmer: a seaclone 100 :lol:

You need to have high nutrient levels for the organisms to survive...but you also need good water parameters. You cannot have good water parameters without good skimming and/or regular water changes.
