High tide is at 1:16 PM at Haulover inlet .so from 1100 am till 1:00pm would be a good time to get NSW

Exactly why the need to check tide tables. Not only does it change daily, but is also location dependant. You can Google tide tables, or get an app for your phone.

I believe it would actually be much better to go out 4-5 miles by the Gulf Stream and collect there? Should be the cleanest, most fresh water... All the nsw by the inlets- even at high tide- can be contaminated with pesticide runoff, etc.

All The LFS that use NSW get it from inlet during high tide.

How much do you want to spend to get this water? Sure, NSW from open ocean is cleanest; IMO, Cheaper and better to make your own vs. expense/time needed to get it 5 miles off shore.

wow what a cool idea. Id fear parameters might shift daily though(maybe even time of collection) i wonder if anyone has ever plumbed NSW into the tank instead of Water changes!

I would make sure that the water parameters are what I like before putting into my tank. I would also probably run it through UV too.

I've been running marine wet labs for years with running NSW. Nothing like just turning on the tap and letting the seawater run

As for parameters, collect nice clean ocean water on the incoming tide and it will be more stable than the man made stuff from batch to batch
