Ok, I saw this animal once before around two months ago, at about 2cm in length. It is now close to 8cm and must be finding something to eat in my tank, though nothing is missing aside from a few large stomatellas, which I attributed to crabs. It's primarily nocturnal, almost completely flat with a frilly edge, translucent except for some reticulate pattern a something like a white gut morphology in the center. It has two small (<.5cm) antenne like "eyestalks" on the upper middle surface towards one end. It is also very fast and "flows" over any substrate into any sized crevice.

Very weird. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Tim

Missing any snails or other molluscs? This appears to be one of the mollusc-eating flatworms. We don't know if they're obligate predators on molluscs. they may be able to eat other animals as well, most likely crustaceans or worms.

Because everything I've seen on them is that they are predatory. If you want it of course, it is yours. ;-)
