Nudibranch

Suddenly have a tritoniopsis elegans appear in my fuge. At this point it seems to be feeding off of the algae on the tank walls. After reading about them they feed on soft corals so don't quite know what to do with it. Nothing in the fuge except one zoa polyp. Any suggestions? Karen

Its a predatory slug and will only eat your softies. They usually hitch hike into tanks via soft corals. Nudi's live usually for months, rarely longer than a year, and require special diets(your most prized corals). If you leave it in the fuge, it will probably eat the polyp, then starve. I would remove it before more made it to the main display, they can release toxins harmful to your tank as well.
