Nursing a Bubble Coral

Hey all! I got a bubble coral, and though it was pretty healthy when I got it, the transportation process unfortunately took its toll and when I got home, the bag was full of detritus floating all over. I am not sure what happened there, but anyways the coral was in bad shape from the getgo.

That was Tuesday. Today is Friday, i.e. three days later and it is looking better. Here is what it looks like right now:

It is extending it's polyps, even if only just a bit, so at least that is a good sign. Otherwise I am just letting it be at the moment. Will see how it progresses over time.

Any advice is welcomed of course.

If it's looking better I'd watch it for a few more days. If you think some flesh may have been ripped during transportation an iodine bath/coral dip could stave off an infection.
my 2 cents' worth.

Thanks, that was good advice. I'll keep an eye on the flesh in particular. Thrre are sections that is dubious, but it seems like there is just too much flow in that section. But will see.

They don't enjoy real strong like as euphyllias do, and re sweepers, I've seen them reach straight up in some sideways current. Cranky fellows, but that one looks entirely recoverable given good parameters and being allowed a stable spot with stable conditions.

Thanks all. Well woke up this morning to this:

So that's a huge improvement. I guess 'just let it be' worked out best after all. XD
