nutrient control in a NPS

Hello all,

After a few years in the hobby I've decided to slowly convert my current tank to a NP system and thought I would ask the experts thier opinions on the whole overwhelming task of nutient control and export. I plan on going extra extra extra slow and will be sure to read up on every coral/life form I buy. At this point sun corals are my starting point, once I can keep them and have them grow/reproduce in the tank then I'll move on to the harder to keep NP organisms.

I currently have a small 250ltr system running with pretty good water quality, so zero no3 and po4 on standard titration kits. At this point I'm feeding 2 blocks of mysis a day along with 1-2 of brine.

In the past I have had various cultures up and running such as:

Nannochloropsis Phytoplankton, Tetraselmis chui Phytoplankton, Rotifers and I've also tried Bacterial cultures.

I understand a whole lot of water changes are going to be useful but I was wondering if using the phyto and bacteria cultures would be a useful way of recycling various existing nutrients in the tank?

The other question is: Will bacterial cultures be a good source of food for some NP organisms?

I would love to here anyones experience in maintaining thier tanks.
