Nuvo 16 lighting add on?

Hi all,
I hope to get my Nuvo 16 gal. soon, but want to keep SPS and a clam or two. Has anyone added a PAR 38 or a Kessil to the Nuvo setup? I was thinking of moving the two lights that come with it further apart, and adding another light between them. Anybody done this? Pics if you have.....Thanks,Tim

This is a cool looking tank. I think your biggest issue here is that you aren't going to be able to get a good color blend on an aftermarket PAR30/38 bulb with the Nuvo stock lights.

I would suggest you either get a 3rd stock light to put on the tank or go to all PAR38s. You could probably get away with 2 good PAR 38 bulbs or 3 PAR 30 bulbs if I'm remembering the dimensions correctly.

Mixing and matching the types of lights (and the kessil probably isn't appropriate for this application) just won't look right.

I have added a 3rd light. It fits in between fine. I know there are better lights on the market but part of the appeal of this tank are the clean lines. I'll try to post some pic's one of these days.

Anything to report after having the third light in there for a couple of months?

I've not noticed an issue with 2 lights, though planning to add a third just to err on the side of caution.
