Nuvo 16 with a wp 25

So here's a video of my nuvo 16 with my new(ish) wp 25. I got it in the group buy with Macboat and couldn't be happier. I do have it throttled back quite a bit, and it could get a little weaker if I wanted, but my corals and fish look very happy so this is how I left it.

Wowzers! I know its off topic, but are those lights enough for those SPS frags you got there? Love the aquascape!

There's a lot of flow all around the tank, I was kicking up a bunch of sand for a while until I backed it down. Unfortunately it still does move sand on else mode so I can't use it until I get my led dimmer in.

The stock lights are really just there for the night blue color. It's hard to see but I have a par 38 above that, and I'm planning on adding another once I get enough time to make a structure to hold them both. Until then all of the sps are almost directly under the one light, and seem to be happy so far.

I was just going to ask you about the Jebao WP's, all I read is good things... and mp40 users bashing them.. lol

That is alot of water movement, lol. As mush as I like the price factor, the look of the MP is something that is unbeatable.

But tank is looking great!

Yeah it's a little over kill in my little nano, but I think worth every penny. It was very easy to set up, and I ended up using an old 15 watt or so netgear router cable to weaken it quite a bit. The only problem that I had with it was that the night sensor didn't work in complete darkness (the tank is in my bedroom), so I ended up getting a replacement one from RadioShack for 5 bucks. Now it works perfectly.

As for comparing it to the mp 20 or mp 40, while I've never owned one, I'd imagine that vortech makes better powerheads. While they look awesome, and take up less tank space, I just can't justify spending that much for them.

All and all I'm happy with my wp 20 so far and will buy the wp 40s for my larger tank build when I get to it.

It doesn't look like a good spead more like a stream. Or is it just me. I mean the water up top is moving but I don't see it lower than the first 1/4 of the tank..

Right now I'm using an old 12 volt netgear router power adaptor on w1 s1. I did buy an led dimmer but wasn't able to get else mode running without kicking up sand while using it. I'd like to try again with repositioning the powerhead once I get a little more time to do so.

Yeah I have one of those led dimmers 5v-24v that I dial down all the way till the controller barely powers on. I have the old style controller without speed control though. In else mode it still kicks up sand in my biocube 29. I can imagine how powerful it must be in a tank half the size of mine. The only thing that seems to work is another powerhead pointed directly towards my wp25 like this, its a hydor koralia 425 gph.
