Nuvo Fusion 10G Filtration.

I recently traded for a fusion 10 gallon all in one tank and I am wondering what everyone is using for filters on these? It came set up and cycled with two clown fish in it. I am currently using the filter sock that it came with.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to decide between keeping the filter sock or switching it over to the media basket. I have a JBJ nano cube 28 gallon and I am using a media basket on it with filter floss and carbon. I may end up using a similar set up for the fusion 10G.

No problem! I would recommend that you use a filter media in polyfiber pad or sock form, a form of carbon, GFO, and a biological filtration (like MarinePure) With those that should get the job done. I would rely on yourself to do weekly maintenance more than the filtration, consider filtration "additional."

When I've got a nano tank I usually just run floss, carbon, and gfo. Change the floss as often as it gets clugged and the gfo and carbon about every 3-4 weeks.

I ended up getting about 10 filter socks for my Nuvo Atoll, and switch them out weekly as I do water changes. I also run Chemipure Elite, and it's been working out well so far. Once I get down to 1 or 2 socks, I wash the others in hot water and bleach in the washing machine and it gets them back to "like new" condition. The media baskets are nice as well.

I use the InTank media basket with poly filter floss on top, Purigen in the middle, and Chemi-pure elite on the bottom and I'm very happy with it.

I have an IM 20 that has been set up for about 7 months. I started out using the stock filter socks. I bought another set so that I can swap them out every few days, wash and repeat. I do not use any other filtration or skimming. Relying on 5 gallon water change every week and the tank has been great.

Keep the filter sock. Actually buy a couple more and throw some chemipure blue nano and some purigen in the sock. That's pretty much all you need.
