O. Percula compatibility

I currently have two small O. Percula clowns that were purchased about two weeks ago. They share a 75 gallon tank with one small yellow tail damsel. I have about 100 lbs of live rock.

My question is I have have heard that Ocellaris clowns are the most peaceful (if you can call it that) of clowns and often times can be kept in small groups.
I was at My LFS and they had a "pair" (not so sure both were small and about the same size) of black O. Perculas that the family fell in love with.

Am I past any window of adding these two clowns to my tank? Any chance the four clown will get along decently enough?

Thanks for your input!

Good article on multiple clowns.

FWIW: There is no such thing as O. Percula. There is Amphiprion ocellaris and Amphiprion percula. The Amphiprion is usually abbreviated with an A.

Your fish as well as the black ones at the LFS are likely A. ocellaris. To add to the confusion, A. ocellaris are often refered to as perculas or false perculas in the trade while A. perculas are often called "true" perculas.

I don't mean to be a snob, but if you are going to use binomial nomenclature (and we prefer that you do) you need to do it right. :)

Thank you xxpipedreamxx for the link - extremely helpful. If I could have got the search function to work I wouldnt have had to ask. I guess I should become a premium member. Thanks

No problem, I listed it as such because that was how it was sold (I should choose a better LFS). Either way I will list correctly in the future as to not insult, long standing members who are concerned with being snobs.

if you have two pairs they will fight eachother
Thank you for you thoughts. Here is my thinking The two current Amphiprion ocellaris's I have are juveniles (I believe as both are less than 1" and are of equal size). I Was hoping that someone with experience would tell me if in the two weeks I have had these fish it is likely that a pair have formed (unlikely I believe, they pay little attention to each other). Because the B/W Amphiprion ocellaris are the same species if added as juveniles only one female should form (thus not two pairs). Even with the possibility the B/W's from the store are truly a "pair" I still would only have one female. Many websites/books indicate that Amphiprion ocellaris can be maintained in small groups. I was hoping for some thoughts. (Possibly the two weeks my original Amphiprion ocellaris's have been together there is already a shift toward female in one of them?). Thanks for all comments.
