I dont mind teaching you to shoot. Its easy, hold the gun, aim at what you want to hit and squeeze the trigger. Thats it. lol We need to plan a trip to a gun range. I think that would be fun.

This is sort of OT, but I need to find out.

I am moving to Florida from Illinois. In IL, you need to have a FOID (Firearms Ownership ID card) in order to legally possess, buy or sell guns. Issued through the state police.

Is there any sort of registration needed down there? I know there is a conceled weapon permit, but just to own them is what I am concerned about.

Wow you waiting for war to start in your back yard. I think you can own anything you want as long as its not fully automatic. That stuff you need a permit.

fully autos area classIII wich are a completely diff animal. however barret 50 sniper rifles start at about 3500$ and go up but are extremely easy to get.

TheGrog, you do realize your moving to the center of redneck world right? If you move to the right county, you could probably have the tank parked in the driveway lol.

I have a m1919a4 in 30-06 that I am thinking about letting go. it has a nice tripod, transverse and elivation, a real cool ammo can holder that will hold a 200 round belt on the left and catches all the links on the right. also I upgraded it to spade grips, but I will include the pistol grip as well and 200 rounds of ammo.

Yea, but with today's gas prices, there is no way I could afford to drive it!!! :lol:

Who needs to drive it? Just sit around on the weekends shooting pop cans off the nieghbors fence. Or if you live close to a highway you could use it for snowbird control. RV's doing 30mph on the highway would make some good target practice lol. Eventually we will get a limited season on snowbirds, you might as well be ready when it happens.

By the way, when you get here and settled in, there is a great free outdoor range near Ocala. It's on HWY 40 just west of 19A. The have a 100yd pistol and rifle range with moveable target stands, and a shotgun range.
