Does anybody know how to correct this?

It started a few months ago and is happening more and more frequently now. I just went to watch the link in Mev's post and got it again. I've Googled it, but haven't found anything but a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

I have heard of it on cellular handsets when surfing the web and trying to view an image but not with a computer.

Like the others above, would need to know:

mac or pc?

if pc operating system?

Which link are you referring to?

Yea, lots of info is needed. Lot of people around here seem to have computer knowledge so I'm sure you'll be able to get some help.
I for example went to college for computer networking, and have been self taught for about 9 years before that so... I've got a little comp. background. Just let us know what you've got going on...

Again like others said, we need to know Mac or PC, What operating system you're using(IE windows xp home or pro/vista, 32 or 64 bit) stuff like that, and any error messages you may have gotten.

Sorry. I was in Columbus all day.

PC / Windows XP. I've had this computer for 4 or 5 years now and everything's been fine up until the last 6 months or so.

That's the thing. There isn't an error message. If I click on a video link, all I get is an entirely white screen. The browser says "Done" with a yellow exclamation point in front of it, as if the it "thinks" its done what its supposed to.

Sounds like you might have had an install that took over the permissions of a lot of video file types. You could try downloading Windows Media Player 10 and see if it updates all your video codecs and then you should be able to view most files. If you use Internet Explorer you could try installing Firefox and see if you like it better. I stopped using IE years ago and haven't missed it a bit.

Media Player 10 will take a while to download but should get you straightened out.

Jim ..you do not have to uninstall IE to run Firefox. I have not used IE in years ,,thanks for the help last night bud

No problem Murph.

The cigarette in Santa's mouth was pretty funny. I'd have kept it in there but Bev wouldn't let me.:D
