hello, I have a new pair of clowns I got from my local fish store. One is very healthy looking and actively eating and moving about. The second is half the size and some what less healthy looking. Its markings are not complete( I bought him this way) I think they call it a misbar. Well any ways he is active and swims a lot and eats voraciously. His issue is above his eyes. Where his white band is, there are spots that have lost the white pigment. This is on both sides of the fish. I have researched everything and I cant seem to find a similar picture or description across the internet. The fact he is eating and not laboring makes me think he has lateral line disease. I could describe his condition as if the white pigment looks cracked? any ideas. Both fish are in qt together. Its been three weeks with out any real changes in parameters. I feed frozen and nls.

This sounds like a deformity in a tank raised clown instead of a health issue. That is very common in captive raised clowns and does not affect their health. The second thing it could be diet related.

I think it's deformity. It's tough because I don't want to send him to the display if something is wrong
