ocean runner on a ASM skimmer

ok I have heard ocean runner is a much better pump and pulls stuff out much better as well. from everything I have read it fairly simple to do but I want to know exactly what I need what is involved in it and make sure it is worth the money before replacing my pump I was looking at one of two pump the 2700 and the 3700

What size ASM do you have? It better be a monster if you want to put that 3700 on there. I dont think I would put the 3700 on anything smaller than the G4. Probably the 2700 for the G3. Im not so sure I would even put the 2700 on anything much smaller than the G3 either, perhaps the G2 (i dont recall the reactor sizes on the smaller ones)

myself I was also trying to get general thoughts and ideas for others as well that is a little why I generalized it. but one guy on another board said the 3700 would be fantastic while somebody else says neither I just orderd the Gate valve mod for it..

The OR3700 should be fine on anything with an 8" diameter. Just be advised that the OR pumps DO NOT come with air induction fittings. However, I believe I read that the Sedra volute and venturi will fit on the OR pumps. Not sure though.
