I have a 29 biocube that currently has a frogspawn, BTA, small zoa frag, GSP, Firefish, Yasha Goby, and a pistol shrimp. The yasha and firefish are both really good looking but they like to stay hidden for the most part. Im trying to find something I can add to the tank that will stay out and be visible. It doesnt need to be moving but most of the time when I look at my tank I cant even find my fish. Any suggestions you guys can offer would be great. I am surfing around on liveaquaria and stuff like that but its always good to hear opinions of people that kept the specific fish and I dont always trust their little fact sheets.

Tagging along, looking for suggestions for my tank as well..
Ha, its hard right? There are so many good looking fish out there but you never know which ones are gonna be complete jerks and which ones are gonna live out of sight the whole time.

Are your fish new to this tank? The firefish should spend time hovering in the open, facing the current, looking for plankton sized food. If you have an internal power head the right flow can create the right environment. Frequent small feedings will bring it out more often and give it confidence.
Other good fish:
Tailspot Blenny. Great character. Perches on live rock out front & sims about.
Yellow Clown Gobie. Perches in the open. Colorful, charming, small so virtually no addition to bioload.
Basslets. Royal gramma, chalk bass, yellow assessor etc. will spend some time in rock work but will be out front as well.

The firefish is out from time to time. But mostly he and the yasha and shrimp all hang out in the same cave and unfortunately the shrimp built it facing the back. He is out more often then he is not BUT I have had quite a few scared of thinking the shrimp must have accidentally collapsed a tunnel on them all lol. They have all been in the tanks about 3 weeks but I know thats a fairly short time for saltwater fish.
Some fish I have been thinking about were chromis or cardinal fish. But I feel like if I got them I would want more than one and unsure of judging bioload in salt water.

Chromis aren't coming in healthy lately & I'm not sure but you might only be able to get one cardinal unless you get a bonded pair on DD.

Well I saw on DD they have groups of 3 and 5...I dunno whats overkill though. They look like salt guppies to me
