Oceanic 30G cube LED's

Hey All,

Looking for some advice, I plan on upgrading from PC's to LED's on my Oceanic Cube tank, dimensions are (20x18x21 ish).

I'm hoping to find an all in one pendant that I can use for LPS, some SPS, and hopefully a clam. Hopefully with dimmable led's.

Does anyone have a suggestion? I've been looking into the JBJ and ecoxotic pendants. Do these brands have good par ratings?

Is there something better?

Thanks!!

i have the ai nano over a 25g cube 18x18x18 its only a week into the cycle so i cannot comment on growth. but it has great coverage over my tank. the controller was easy to program as well

Thanks for the information.

My concern over the AI nano is that it will put out to much of a spot light effect on a 20x21 tank. It looks good on your tank though.

rtparty, How do you like the panorama pro 18", I've been looking at them and it seems to be a good fixture, do you have any pictures? The blue and white are independently dimmable? Is it a set the color you like and leave it type deal since there is no controller to provide morning and evening dimming? Are you keeping sps? I hear that PAR ratings are a little low on these units. I really like the fact that I could add an additional LED strip to it though.

I don't have my fixture yet but have been using Panorama PRO modules on 24g tank for almost 8 months with great success. I had some issues a few months ago but it was because I wasn't providing enough light.

The PRO modules provide plenty of light. I just wasn't using enough of them. I had one blue/magenta module and some stunners on my tank. When I added an all white PRO module, things turned around for me.

Ecoxotic had the pro fixture on ORA's tanks at MACNA last year and they were getting 240 PAR at 24" depth. That is enough light for anything IME. I don't know why people spread false rumors about things they have never used and know very little about but they do.

Ecoxotic makes a great product that definitely works.

So if I were to get the Panorama pro 18" that comes with 3 modules, you would suggest adding an additional module for more light?

Happen to have a picture on your tank?

Know anything about the JBJ unibody fixtures? do they compare?
