Oceanic Tech 120 Question

I just got a deal on a brand new Tech120 & matching stand. I love the Tank but hate the plastic Eurobracing. Has anyone successfully removed it? The glass seems thick enough to be braceless, is it?

I'll just leave it there if I have to, but would love to just take the darn thing off.

It seems very cheap considering the quality of the rest of the tank.
