Hi everyone,

I've been trying to find more information and reviews regarding the ocean revived T247 online but have not had much luck. I know there are specification differencesbetween the two life but was hoping some tea 247 owners speak in further detail what they really enjoy with regards to their LED fixtures. (Besides the huge price point. Thanks.

The ocean revive is a chinese made fixture with bridgelux leds. Full spectrum and proven to grow and color acropora. The only downside is that there are only 2 channels so you can't control the reds and greens separately. You have to dim the whole channel to reduce the intensity of the reds and greens. The same with the channels containing the royal blues. If you plan to use the fixture by itself, you have the potential to grow lots of algae because the royal blues and other leds are in the same channel. This may not be a problem if you are using it in a display tank where you have lots of algae grazers. However, if you have a frag tank that is connected to your main system and have these on continuously like I did, it will grow algae. If you have the frag tank in a separate system without a lot of fish it would work fine. It is best to treat the light like a direct replacement of metal halide but use supplementation like VHOs super actinic or T5s. Run the ocean revive not more than 5 to 6 hours per day. The hydra 52s are fully controllable, wireless and has a lot of flexibility in the color. I start my photoperiod with all leds on which give it a 10k look, then use different profiles at different times during the day. I replaced all of my ocean revive not because it does not work. I just wanted to be able to tweak each leds. Ended up with radion xr15 pro.

Exactly what I was looking for Psykobowler. Thank much. Any other personal experiences with the T247 are welcome.
