Ocellaris discoloration

Hey, I'm new to RC. Been into saltwater tanks for a few years and have a small fish-only tank (29gal). Only current resident is a TR banghai cardinal, after I gave my clarki pair to my dad.

Anyway, an acquaintance is getting rid of his tank (which was in a bit of bad shape) and wants to know if I want his ocellaris clown. It's still fairly small, which is perfect for my tank, however it's body coloration is almost entirely black (or blackish?). According to the original owner, it was orange when he got it a year and half earlier, but after he got rid of his halides and started running only PCs, that's when he noticed the color change.

He didn't buy it as a black percula so the color change sounds odd to me. The tank's parameters are fine, and he says he feeds everything once a week (flake food, I believe). I guess my question is should I be concerned about the fish's health?

Here's a pic I took when I went to look at the fish this past weekend - the flash was on (his tank has a very actinic blue glow to it otherwise). Apologies for the blurriness.

Appreciate any input

Welcome to RC!!! I wouldn't worry about the color....could be black...not born black, they turn black over time....Best of luck and any questions feel free to post....Carl
