i am considering buying a small octo.
it will be housed in my 29gallon that has been established for over a year. water parameters: pH 8.2 Nitrates 10ppm Nitrites 0 Amonia 0
Inhabitants: 1 Percula clown , 1 3 stripe Damsel and a coral banded shrimp.

Should i remove these inhabitants or will he eat them.
Any help would be appreciated.
i have a 55 reef tank i can move the fish and shrimp to if needed.
The octo is only 2" body and 2 1/2" tentacles
Im not sure the specific name of octo.
thanks

The octo will most likely eat the other inhabitants. Everything else sounds good. 29 gallon is a decent size too. Mine likes to climb and I think a "long" tank would not be as suited for him. Someone would be able to ID the species.
One thing to consider, if it's NOT a bimac...having 2 blue rings on his base, then you will need to REALLY seal off the aquarium because he will get out. Most people on here would recomend a bimac if for no other reason than they usually don't try to escape. Most other species are expert escape artists.
That said...they are THE coolest animals out there. I have an established 90 reef and nothing even comes close to how cool this Octo is.
