C-SEA Meeting
October 10th, 7:30pm
Cleveland Metro Parks Zoo
Education Building Auditorium

Please note, October's meeting is the 2nd Friday of the month, October 10th

We are excited to announce that for C-SEA's October meeting we will have Paul West of West Mariculture speaking. If you are unfamiliar with West Mariculture, Paul has made a name for himself providing eco-friendly aragonite based substrates. He has also been actively creating and selling some amazing artificial reef rock of all shapes, sizes, and colors! Paul will be presenting primarily about aragonite substrates and the benefits that they provide to your home reef as well as debunking some myths about using an aragonite substrate. Hopefully any bare bottom tank enthusiasts will come and make the Q&A portion interesting. Additionally, Paul will be showing off his artificial reef rock and why you should consider it versus traditional live rock. Please come and support C-SEA and treat yourself to a presentation that is sure to be interesting and informative, who knows, you might learn a thing or two!

Please see the club's forum thread for further details: http://c-sea.org/forums/showthread....EA-Meeting-West-Mariculture&p=28600#post28600

Just a reminder of this meeting coming up on October 10th. We will be raffling off one of Paul West's creations, so make sure to come to the meeting and try to get your hands on this piece!

I am probably not gonna be able to make this one. It is my last weekend for fishing on lake erie with my boat. If the weather is bad though I will be there. Heck with my wife and I luck we would win the raffle lol. I could use the rock for my re-build when I move my stuff from my 75 reef tank into the 120 I am fixing up. I was really impressed with the rock he had. A little expensive, but really impressed with the light weight and the look of the rock. It really makes some VERY impressive structures.

A big 'Thank You!' to Paul West for putting on a great presentation and teaching us all about the best substrate around, aragonite, as well as answering all of our many questions about his rock creations. If you didn't make it to the meeting, you really missed out! I will be posting some notes on the C-SEA site forums from his presentation soon.

I'm going to TRY TO arrange to meet him at his facility tomorrow (monday) if anyone needs anything I can arrange to bring it back with me or maybe car pool with anyone to go there. I have not gotten confirmation but I am off tomorrow (bank holiday) and I want to aquascape my 120 gal tank I'm moving into with his rock. If I go tomorrow or Tuesday would anyone be interested in free shipping/delivery fee or tagging along in the drive?

I have made arrangements to go there tomorrow. Will be leaving Alliance around 8 am ,, could go and meet anyone in Akron or Cle to share a ride to West Mariculture. I should be there around 10 or 10:30 depending on driving and stops etc. I am taking $200 and just making a sculpture and some sand with that budget. Of course I will post some updates in another thread with what I come up with.
